18 Apr Airless Spray Painting – House Painters Brisbane
This is a stunning renovation of a traditional Queenslander style home we painted last year. We used an airless sprayer to paint the VJ boards white. For large areas like this ballroom it is a must. It gets the job done much quicker than traditional painting methods like rolling. Because we are painting on to VJ timber boards as opposed to plasterboard walls we achieve a uniform application that only the sprayer can produce. When used properly an airless sprayer gives even layers of paint giving a superior result.
To watch a video of us actually spraying this room follow this You Tube link learn how to use an airless sprayer.
The airless sprayer uses a method where hydraulic pressure goes through a specially designed spray tip to create the fan pattern. This prevents any wasteful overspray and you can also control the flow of the spray, so it does not go everywhere.
In this ballroom we also brush painted the trim with gold paint. And installed a traditional wallpaper border in keeping with the period character of this beautiful home.
